Outdoor Education dates - May 20-22, 2025

Here is our suggested packing list for ODE. Please do not let your child bring brand new clothes/shoes with them!

Permission forms were emailed this week. GCCS's permission and medical consent form will be need to be filled out electronically.  Skyview Ranch requires a waiver that must be printed and signed for each student and parent attending.  Please let me know if you need a paper copy. Waiver

 Each student and parent chaperone attending the trip will also need to turn in a paper copy of the Skyview Ranch waiver.  The waiver is linked below and will need to be printed. If you are in need of a paper copy, please let me know so that I can send one home with your student.

Medications

Please note that if your child will be taking prescription or over-the-counter medications

while on the trip, there are forms that will need to be filled out (unless a parent is present). Some may need the signature of your doctor.  Please be sure to take the necessary steps in enough time that you will have all forms and medications to the nurse for the trip.  Medications will be administered by the designated staff member and be kept in a lock box/bag. All medications must be sent in the original pharmacy container and be accompanied by the correct paperwork. If the medication comes in the form of a pill, please only send the amount needed for the duration of the trip.  I have linked the prescribed medication form as well as a form for any over the counter medicines (other than Tylenol, Ibuprofen or Benadryl) your child may need. If you are a parent chaperoning the trip, you may choose to be in charge of your child's medications, and in that case no paperwork is required. Medication forms can be returned via email to bwellman@grovecitychristian.org, faxed to 614-875-8933 or a paper copy turned into the office. All forms must be received by Friday 5/16.
