Bible Blessings

5th grade Bible will build upon the skills students learned in 4th grade. We will use the DeepRoots curriculum, which you also have access to online (see link above). We will focus on the Old Testament accounts and learn what it means to inductively study the Bible using Observation, Interpretation, and Application. Students will learn to defend their faith throughout the year and I encourage you to ask them questions about what they are learning and ways they can be bold in sharing their faith. We will continue Unit 9 next week and study the historical account of Jonah and ways to confidently share our faith. There will be weekly memory verse quizzes and students have those in their Bible folders and have multiple ways to study them. Please study them with your child each week. Verses can be found on the DeepRoots link above and on the quiz page on iNews. Let me know if you have any questions and I look forward to a wonderful year of studying God's Word together and growing in our faith.

Please consider joining your son or daughter in this important discipline over the next week and find ways to hold each other accountable. The reflection log is due Jan 30.
