It has been such an honor and a privilege to share the gospel with your child every day this year, I am so blessed by them! I would like to encourage you to be diligent this summer regarding all things online. You are your child's biggest influence when it comes to their spiritual foundation. Proverbs 22:6 reminds us to "train up a child in the way he should go," and this includes their digital behavior. Erin Napier of Hometown on HGTV has started an non-profit organization called Osprey as a way to combat the pressures to give her own children access to the world before they are ready and she reminds us that, "Research tells us social media is as addictive and destructive for developing brains as any drug." I have included a link to her site where you can start or get connected with a local group of parents who feel the same way you do about the dangers of the digital world and ways to help you navigate it. Romans 12:2 cautions us to "not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect." I pray you have a blessed summer with your children, making memories, playing together, and growing in your faith alongside them.
